T-mobile insists on one having a data plan with the G1. So if my
current voice plan is $39.99 ($47 incl taxes) then the $25 data plan
pushes it to about a $75 monthly bill.
If I only intend to use the internet features when I have WiFi access
- just like I would a laptop - then why does one need a data plan?
Forcing customers to have a data plan means fewer customers willing to
pay the higher $75 monthly bill. Or is there a technical reason for
this?
