I do not think the price of a PC vs a MAC is going to be a deciding
factor on whether to develop for the iPhone or Android based phones.
Statistically speaking, there is more money to be had developing for
the iPhone & iPod Touch, and I think if you factor that along with the
cost of a Mac, you are still going to come out ahead of the Android
folks.

Personally, if I need to develop for the iPhone, I'll use my Fedora
box and fire up VirtualBox to create a VM of OSX, actually I have an
OSX VM image ready to go just in case.  Otherwise, I'll stick with my
*nix box and continue to code for Android.
