The thing is--- you can get embarrassing screenshots from other smart
phones as well. My gf's iPhone has a habit of freezing from time to
time and showing half the screen screwed up. A couple of her games (a
tetris clone in particular) are buggy and crash occasionally. (I
seldom use mine, so I don't run into it nearly as frequently that I
can remember.)

However with Android--- there is no "sucky app filter" besides us.
I've emailed a couple developers who made a crash prone android
app--- but yeah. Freedom does occasionally have its "costs". What
annoys me-- is when I see a 5 star review to a crappy app with the
text "Crashed some-- needs improvement." If it crashes frequently-- it
shouldn't get 5 stars period.
