We are eager to hear what features you are missing.

I got my phone two days ago and am completely amazed about the
features.
Like GPS compass and coordinates, like barcode scanning with direct
product lookup, like autofocus down to a few cm camera and a real unix
system.

Regarding the unix enviroment there are a lot of things to add, but so
far I have lftp server and shell. I have been able to ftp to my phone
and I've been able to use ssh from my phone to my computers. These are
very basic things which will cause me to use my laptop less. I always
carry my laptop active always on, wherever I go, even to parties and
such. Now I will be able to use my phone for many of the usual things
you use a computer for.

There are so many things that I feel I will port to this machine, just
for my love of it and need for it. Like some of the HP calculators,
like electronic bank identity, python (if it doesn't already is). An
interface between google maps and the GPS so I can use google maps for
navigation. Then of course a lot of data collection and data analys
tools can be interesting.

I feel that this phone is the wearable computer I've dreamed about for
many many years. The Sharp Zaurus 6000 I bought in 2004 was nice, but
that was only a small linux computer, but the Android system in e.g.
the G1 (HTC innovation) is a complete system as it is always
connected, either through wlan or 3G.

There are a few things I miss though, like being able to use a pen on
the screen, because the finger has not enogh resolution, as well as
being able to connect the screen to some glasses so I can see the
screen always. This may be possible through the USB maybe or using the
wlan. The keyboard is great, that makes this a useful machine. I
wouldn't dream about the G2 without keyboard (unless some better
interface like typing in the air or so using e.g. bluetooth (or cable
for airplanes...) would become availble).

The only drawback with this G1 is that it takes a little too much
power, I need to charge it once a day, but that is a minor thing for
me, regarding all the functionality.
