Hello, I'm guessing you've been asked this countless times, but I've not seen any indication of development towards it's resolution, so I thought I'd reiterate..
I'm looking to promote Androids use at a University for a group of students who are keen on mobile computing. I'm a little put off by the fact that the emulator does not support WIFI or bluetooth. The University is reluctant to invest in buying the actual devices unless I convince them it would be a useful contribution to the course. Ideally, I would like students to test applications using an emulator then move forward to using an actual device (when I finally get the budget to do so). At the moment, we are using .net compact and JME (both of which has support for network communications be it bluetooth or WIFI). Do you know if this feature will be available in the very near future?
