It is common knowledge that there are various sites that charge
between $15-23 US or more to provide an unlock code based on IMEI for
an HTC Android G1 phone. it is also common knowledge that T-Mobile
provides the unlock code for free in some circumstances: account in
good standing, account at least 90 days old, reports of a fee in UK,
etc. Furthermore, there are warnings all over the web that some of
the sites that sell unlock codes are actually scams that only provide
information about the T-Mobile policy.

Please tell us how to get the unlock code for FREE for an HTC G1 that
was previously carried by T-Mobile but currently is not so that it can
be used with an AT&T SIM card?

 - Thank you, David
