"older" os? How do you figure that? (Ohhh.. I understand. You read one step of the directions and then wandered off. Might pay to go back and read -all- the directions. It won't take very long, honest.)
Also, google didn't build it in because they build what the carriers want, and the carriers don't want it - thats why they pulled the tethering apps off the market.
