Hello all Android users, developers e.a., Today I decided to join this Group because I have an interesting question. At my university we use a special form of access controll for the city-wide universitary wireless internet network. This network needs you to authenticate yourself (with your personell number and central password) through EAP-TTLS.
People with Blackberries and other HTC devices than the Dream or Magic, would easily install the application SecureW2 (www.securew2.com) onto their Windows Mobile and they would have a perfect connection. My T-Mobile G1 with Android however, recognizes the network as a WEP-key secured wireless network, and wants me to enter that key. So therefor I ask you, Android Community, is there a way I can get the EAP-TTLS authentication to work on my Android phone. Might it be possible to port SecureW2 to the Android OS? I have no experience at all concerning Android app-development, but of course, I would be glad to test an alpha version at my university for any one of you that comes up with a trick to handle EAP-TTLS. Hope to hear from you guys soon, and thanks for your efford of reading this request, Greetings, Laurens Swart The Netherlands --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
