I'm using the JesusFreaks Android Firmware on my dev G1 and the pinch zooming 
is fantastic. No more sections of the page obscured by the icons, no more 
mis-hitting the zoom in/out buttons.

It really is, from a users perspective, worth the effort it would take to put 
it into the main branch.

Here's an Engadget article demoing a resistive touch screen with the
following features:

-unlimited inputs (multitouch)
-detection of any contact object (stylus, finger, paintbrush, etc)
-pressure detection


The article says "Symbian, Windows Mobile and ANDROID are currently
supported"...I would LOVE to see this on my phone.
