The Linux kernel is licensed under the GPLv2 license, which stipulates (paraphrased) that source code for modifications to the code licensed by the GPLv2 be provided upon request. There are custom kernel modifications made to the kernel for the ROGERS DREAM required for it to boot -- it is not compatible with kernels compiled for non-rogers dream.
Thus far, HTC Corp. has refused to provide the source for their kernel patches in clear violation of the GPL. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
