A couple of points: -Market needs some very versatile engineers (it's a surprisingly complex system), so the most generic job description is the one that best describes the job requirements.
-What determines where people land depends on their individual skills and experience, on the recommendations that are made for them during the hiring process, and on what assignment they ask. -Market isn't the only Android area where we're hiring engineers. I don't have a full list off-hand, but there are plenty of engineering opportunities all around the project. -Feel free to privately send your resume to any of the Android people who lurk on this group, myself included (you know who we are).
