Interesting... ARCHOS is big on polish. I'd've expected a more orchestrated rollout than this. Certainly the device specs are interesting, particularly the HDMI-out. 52" diagonal 'droid FTW! (that's 132cm for the civilized portion of the world) (and that would assume I have a 52" TV, which I don't) But some stuff doesn't seem fully baked yet. They talk about a 48px "TOP menu", which would appear to be the Android status bar from the diagram. But the emulator skin they supply only gives us the 25px status bar, like any other skin. Makes me wonder if there are any other hiccups we need to worry about, at least in terms of the emulator skin matching the hardware. It'd suck to build your app one way aiming for their device, upload it, and then find out it still isn't right. So, it certainly looks cool, and I continue to drool over the prospects of something like this...but there are just enough question marks in the cartoon thought bubble over my head to give me pause. -- Mark Murphy (a Commons Guy) http://commonsware.com | http://twitter.com/commonsguy Looking for Android opportunities? http://wiki.andmob.org/hado --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
