Well we at AndAppStore tend to get contacted about bundling our client when a port reaches beta stage (and we've not said no yet :)). I can't think of many other apps that porting groups go out and bundle that early in their development.
Archos also seem to think it's pretty critical, otherwise why would they create their own store?, I don't see them creating their own versions of any of the ADC 1 winners.
