I went ahead and resubmitted my application for the ADC2 contest.

To do this I had to remove the 'draft' listing from the android market
site, then upload and submit again in the ADC2 submission site -

Before trying again this second time I turned on 'keep cookies' in my
FF browser.
After completing the second submission, logging out and in again to
http://market.android.com/adc/Home
my listing for ADC2 is now appearing ok. :-)
