Hi,

we are also making a speech recognition project on android, and this
rate limitation for audio recording is quite troublesome for us too.
We don't have any solution, but the idea of working with a pre-
recorded wave file is quite good, as said above, although it's only a
temporary solution (we don't have a dev-phone neither, but only a
simulator...).

if there is any news about this issue, it can definitely make us all
happy, so don't forget to give it here, please!
