I see what you mean, maybe they took the "Talk like a Pirate Day" too
literally.  The moderator is asking people to find certain apks and saying "
I don't think it's wrong that we link to whatever we can find for now as
testing."

But it's really Archos's fault. They didn't work with the Android community
and expected a large number of apps to arrive at their door. Opening an
AppStore is not like the old model, where a company would release a content
store and the content aggregrators will come and stock it for you. They are
dealing with thousands of individual developers, who are suspicious to say
the least. So now Archos has a major device with 70 or so apps on it and
their users are scrambling for anything. It's something Archos will have to
clean up. And since they aren't part of the Android community, it will be a
lonely job that they will have to do alone.
