I am surprised not to find any messages about this serious Android bug! I am so annoyed. I just purchased this Android phone yesterday, spent hours downloading many apps, and configuring this phone... and now I am faced with the prospect that all this was for nothing!
My manager was playing with my phone today and was locked out after playing with the pattern. The phone is now asking for my gmail credentials, however, it does not work. Clearly I know my username and password (otherwise, I would not be able to post this message!). $%^&# Android team for not testing this before unleashing it to the market! I found a potential solution here: http://www.g1-forum.com/index.php?topic=2266.0 I have not tried it yet..... here's wishing me good luck... and I hope others don't encounter this problem. You've been warned! Do not use the pattern unlock security until the problem is fixed. I am using the HTC Magic (version 1.5).
