I would like to know who will be downloading my apps. As I have not posted them yet (both free and paid versions) I do not know what information google provides. Can someone tell me. Also, it would be nice to attain... location, age and sex, maybe even phone number... Is this too much of a reach? I would like to know what other devs think about asking users for this information and if its allowed.
Secondly, if your app is a utility and can be used for different purposes, would you like to know what specific reason people downloaded it? I will be choosing the best strategy to pull attempt to get this information from the users. Is this allowed? Also, is it ok to communicate with users after they download and use your app, i.e. text message, in-app message? With this info, it would help with building the on the functions that customers like or want. I assume much of that could be gained from the user comments, but still I would appreciate these items on a different format.
