Looks like another UI re-design, engadget also mentions something
about 3d elements in the apps tray.  You could speculate, I suppose,
that they've moved to a hardware renderer for the UI.
As for why Google would it; their brand carries a massive amount of
weight which will help the platform and from a business point of view
I can only assume they will make money on the phones.
