Agree. After switching from Palm OS to Android, I'm now primarily handling my PIM tasks via Google's online tools, cause the on device PIM apps are kind of rudimentary and hard to use.
It seems that some of the restrictions are due to the fact that there needs to be some kind of synchronization between the on device apps and the online offering.
