Hey, If you are a developer with a popular paid app on Android Market but wish that the customer management was better with Android Market, I'd be interested in talking with you about doing beta testing for a new app market concept.
The focus is on managing, communicating with, and understanding the users of your application(s). This concept leap-frogs the SlideME concept. When I started SlideME two years ago, my original vision was to connect developers and users, allowing easy communication, feedback and understanding. For various reasons, this got off track and I deeply regretted it. After leaving SlideME 4 months ago, I put everything back on the drawing board to build up a completely new system with a team here in Seattle to address this original vision. What I have now is a much better client: it is closer to the existing Android Market client and a lot faster and more stable. There is stream-lined mobile registration and billing, protocols are radically simplified. The system has full device-detection so no more getting (or worse purchasing) an application that can't run on the device. It's built on the cloud and uses amazon cloudfront for wickedly fast downloads of images and applications. We collect a lot of statistics of the downloads so you can understand the market better. What I need from the initial group of beta-testers is what they are looking for to manage their users: coupon systems, gifting, types of reports and statistics, access to mailing lists, integration to Android Market, notifications etc. This is an invite only beta (small and focused), so if interested let me know who you are and which paid application you have on the market.
