I'm pleased to announce the initial launch of ZappMarket, a new market concept focused on managing, communicating with, and understanding the users of your application(s). If you are frustrated with the Android Market, please sign up for the beta and help shape the direction of ZappMarket.
Features: * Upload up-to 5 high res screenshots to show off your applications * Upload a large icon for placement on your application page on the mobile device * Provide a link for video * Advanced device-detection to match content to the correct device * All content hosted in amazon S3 and cloudfront for fast download and catalog loading experience * A full range of statistics collected for your application downloads, including country, operator and SDK version of the device. This system has a sophisticated underlying portal but is currently bare-bones; I've yet to expose all the features through the portal dashboard. This is where you can participate and say what you are really looking for, rather than me just guessing. This is a closed beta for developers (the client will be openly available for users of your applications). Contact me for the invite code. If you have a popular paid application on the Android Market, please include this information, as you will be given access to experimental features for paid applications. I'll release the client after I have a few applications stocked. From past experience, I've found users will think the client application is broken if there aren't at least a few applications available.
