It's not really about the size of the market it's about whether you want access
to more users. AndAppStore and other alternative markets tend to have most of
their users on devices without Market so if you only list on Market you'll be
missing these users out (unless they go hunting for your app on a Warez site of
course).

I could tell you about the laptop, pad, 'phone, PMP and other devices OEMs
who've contacted and have been told anyone can redistribute the AndAppStore
client in their firmware.

I could tell you about the users who've put AndAppStore on their devices even
though they shipped with Market or other app libraries.

I could tell you about how we support to developers by not taking a cut of
sales and working with them to make AndAppStore better.

But none of that is going to make your app appeal to users, and none of it is
going to give you any guarantees over how popular any particular app will be.

It takes about 5 minutes to register and list your app AndAppStore, so it's
your call. If you want to limit distribution to Market then that's entirely up
to you, but if you want to offer your app to as many users as possible then
you're going to need to list on the alternative markets, and at the end of the
day if you do think it's too much effort you can always de-list your app.
