The Droid alone has sold several million units. Then count the other forty
plus models on the market and his number sounds about right.
I know almost as many people who have android phones these days. When my
not not super tech savvy retired uncle picked up a droid I knew there had
been a sea change

Eric Schmidt said that 60,000 android phones ship daily...that would
me for the first three months of 2010 (until today), 5.4 million
phones have shipped!

Is it just me, or does that seem high? Considering the iPhone sold
8.7 million in Q1 2010 (http://www.tipb.com/2010/01/25/apple-releases-
q1-2010-financial-results/) that would be a huge jump for
Android...with that kind of growth android and the iPhone will be neck
on neck very soon!

I see iPhones everywhere. Probably a good quarter if not more of the
people I meet have one. I have met a grand total of three people with
Android phones (I live in Canada, so this may be the
reason)...considering Android's growth, where are all the phones?
