hey all, I've only just begun learning Android development, and am considering purchasing a handset a few months down the line. I live in India and we've got a very limited range of devices available here (the Motorola Milestone is the 'latest' Android phone over here). As such, I'm planning on purchasing one from the US, and have pretty much decided to go with the Google Nexus One, since it offers some pretty good hardware plus no waiting for the manufacturers to offer custom ROMs every time a new Android version is up. I just have a few queries, though:
1. I've heard the Nexus One has had some problems with the 3G reception. Although most online users seem to be putting this down the the network more than the handset, I'd like to be on the safe side. Can anyone who's faced any such problem elaborate how bad it is? 2. Since the phone won't be in the US, I won't be able to get the OTA updates to Android. Is there any other feasible, stable and easy way of getting the upgrades? Say over Wifi or through a computer? thanks so much for your help, With Best Regards, Raveesh Bhalla -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
