Android is doomed, huh? Apparently, they completely misquoted the Yankee Group Study.
http://blogs.yankeegroup.com/2010/07/26/setting-the-record-straight-on-iphone-and-android/ Besides the fact that the study was misquoted, the study wasn't even a very good one. They only included Google Branded Android phones, which I think only includes the Nexus One. Droids, Evos, and all those others that the "article" says are doomed weren't included. "Google-branded phones are the only ones we can be certain run Android". Baloney. Get the model name. Look at this table: http://blogs.yankeegroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/iphone-table2.png 32% of those surveyed expect to buy an IPhone, 20% an Android phone. That does indicate more mindshare for IPhone, but not by a crushing amount. iPhone does have some brand recognition in their favor. The average person seeing your Droid on the bus would probably call any fancy phone an iPhone. Pretty bold of that blogger to claim Verizon needs an IPhone based on a study that didn't include Verizon Android phones.
