If you watched the keynote (or were there) at Google IO 2010, you'd know that Google TV is going to be somewhat different than the "walled garden" that any iTV would take. Google TV will be open and as such, you'll be able to watch YouTube, your own stored videos in any format, perhaps streamed from Netflix or regular cable/satellite/ota channels seamlessly. An iTV offering will be closely coupled to iTunes, which will severely restrict what you can do with it.
Of course, what iTV is or if it even will be released is all conjecture at this point.
