NNTP news-groups are better than any web-based forum - even (or
especially?) Google Groups.
Anyway, the important thing is you're not going to get a definitive answer to
your question here because this is a public discussion group and OEMs have
never posted future plans to it.
I was hoping some developer, or lurker, or even an "insider" (not the
official OEM) could shed some light on the very late update to 2.1 for
the GT540 for Germany.
