I'll just say that Android Market isn't the only distribution channel for apps - there are quite a lot of 3rd party app stores (but I do agree that Android Market is by far the biggest one). Also the Android Market terms are not that black and white - you don't have to sell your app as it is - you can sell virtual goods etc inside your app for example (at least that's how I personally understand the Android Market terms - correct me if I'm wrong).
<shameless plug>Rovio's Bad Piggy Bank is a branded version of Fortumo's in-app payment (http://fortumo.com/in-app-payments) - and that has been open for 3rd party app developers for quite some time already. If you have some feedback (feature requests/ideas/whatever) about it, then feel free to contact me off list :)</shameless plug> On Sat, Dec 18, 2010 at 4:40 PM, JP <[email protected]> wrote: > > On Dec 17, 9:14 am, MatchReturn <[email protected]> wrote: >> With the rise of in-app payments (if Rovio's announcement passed you >> by: >> http://androidcommunity.com/angry-birds-bad-piggy-bank-in-app-payment...), >> how many of you are planning to integrate similar payment systems into >> your apps next year? > > You bet Angry Birds has enough name recognition that Rovio feel they > can do whatever they please.
