I'll just say that Android Market isn't the only distribution channel
for apps  - there are quite a lot of 3rd party app stores (but I do
agree that Android Market is by far the biggest one). Also the Android
Market terms are not that black and white - you don't have to sell
your app as it is - you can sell virtual goods etc inside your app for
example (at least that's how I personally understand the Android
Market terms - correct me if I'm wrong).

that has been open for 3rd party app developers for quite some time
