Hi all,

Sorry, I wasn't able to find the "correct" group to send this to, so I
thought i'd try to start a discussion...

What is the Android development team's collective opinion on the
starred issues at http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/ ?

I see some VERY old issues that have created some VERY angry users due
to the fact that they aren't even being acknowledged, let alone
resolved.

2 examples are for AdHoc WiFi support and low latency audio. These
seem to be contentious due to the fact that they enable the biggest
Android competitor to run many classes of application that are just
not easily doable on Android. Both were originally submitted as issues
a long time ago, and neither has really had any proper reply from
anyone in authority. There haven't even been "No, we don't plan on
doing this." announcements.

Can I ask that, in order to improve the reputation of Android
developers in the greater developer community, these issues be passed
up the chain to someone who may be able to shed some light on this?

If developers don't have a feature road-map, or some reply from the
dev team, they're very likely to jump ship (platform?).

Thanks for providing an awesome platform. Here's to making it even
more awesome.

Regards,

Mike Hughes.
