He directed me to clear cache & data on the market app, then uninstall the updates. Same for Download Manager, but no uninstall. So I'm back to the old market, which if unsorted at least works right. He then said that the market app should self update in "a few days", or I could leave it on the Home screen and wait "5 to 10 minutes" for it to update. Um, who's on first here? I told him my husband's device is identical to mine, and because he is a Luddite, I maintain it for him. I did not update his market, and it is still the old one.
