Especially if you have two APKs on an app like I do. Apparently Android
Market didn't pay much attention but when I uploaded my second APK the
other day I got a version numbering error. If you're not familiar the
recommended numbering is |<- min SDK->|<-scr sup->|<- vers->|. I have
two versions, one for smaller screens and one for 10" and higher
tablets. The min sdk is 04 for the smaller screens and 11 for the
higher screens. Google Play didn't like the 04 so I had to just say 11
instead because it thought the 04 leading one was a much lower version
number than prior ones. This worked before Google Play. And no my 2.1
phone was still eligible for the update.
Unless some of you see a problem I think the recommended version
numbering should be |<- vers->|<-min sdk->|<-scr sup->| and therefore
they need to change the article on that I'll report it as a bug. Since
we are always bumping the versions numbers but not necessarily the
others it should work.
