But know this: you do not have to do in app purchase in order to get a letter from LodSys. Let's say you have an ad in your app, that links to another app, a website, or whatever else an ad could link to. They can still send you a letter with a picture of that ad. I won't say whether I know that from personal experience. Given that you are probably already a target for Lodsys based on whatever you are doing now, just do whatever you and/or your lawyer feel comfortable with.
