It's not in the faqs. I was hoping to get a quick answer from another dev
who had experience with the Amazon appstore. It's not so easy to get a
response from a human being at Amazon, maybe easier than Google Play, but
that doesn't say too much. I sent in a question to Amazon through their
contact form yesterday on another issue, still haven't heard back.

I just updated one of my apps on Amazon on Monday. Today I received notice the update had been approved. A previous update went much faster than the initial posting though not this fast. This is the "vacation" month of the year so they might be in some cases working with a reduced staff.

The email also said that the app had yet to be reviewed for Kindle Fire which sounds like they now do it separately. That should go okay too but one of the things I wanted to ping them about was some misinformation in their FAQs regarding emulating the Fire. They do mention that their Fire emulator image setup will use your extra large resources for some reason, but the actual device returns large. For that reason I tested GUI on the 7-in ICS image that Google makes available which also has a 600x1024 screen but will use the large resources as it should. Android 2.3 functionality tests were run with the Kindle Fire image.
