Depending on how you draw your trend line, Android 4 should reach the 50% line between February and April this year. This will be affected greatly by the replacement rate during Xmas (Nexus 4 disaster not withstanding): http://developer.android.com/about/dashboards/ Lots of developers will start supporting tablet APIs this year (holo theme, fragments, action bar, etc.) without using the backwards compatibility code. Whether 50% of Android users is enough for you depends greatly on your individual business case.
