I'm not an Android developer (although I am looking at it - as a professional software dev in other areas). Maybe my view has been suggested a million times already and will never be implemented for various reasons, but I'd still like to make it...
Of the 3 user comments - why can't there be a cross-section? E.g. the Good, the Bad and the Uncommitted? (See what I did there? The G, the B and the U - Good, Bad, Ugly?). Sigh - forget it. E.g. A 5 (or highest) star comment, a 1 (lowest star comment) and an 'in-betweener' comment. That gives a cross-section - both the app owner and the commenter's will be happy - no? Or maybe not, maybe I haven't a clue what I'm talking about (as i) I haven't developed / released an app and ii) I have never commented on an app (as it isn't intuitive, I haven't accidentally stumbled on how to comment)). Of course; there should be a 'weighting algorithm' - e.g. 100,000 downloads, 99,999 get 5 stars, 1 gets 1 star - the 1 star must not be publicised. I find that common-sense and the most simplistic logic solves problems (I also find that this results in me looking naive when my approach hits an illogical, immoveable brick-wall - however unfair, illogical that brick-wall is). Please feel free to let rip. ;-) On 18 March 2013 22:36, <[email protected]> wrote: > Today's Topic Summary > > Group: http://groups.google.com/group/android-discuss/topics > > - Got replies to comments! <#13d7fa58da609598_group_thread_0> [5 > Updates] > - Samsung Galaxy Tab drift <#13d7fa58da609598_group_thread_1> [3 > Updates] > > Got replies to > comments!<http://groups.google.com/group/android-discuss/t/b7feedeb641f6aec> > > b0b <[email protected]> Mar 18 03:34AM -0700 > > I got it also a few days ago, in what was a WTF moment as I did not > expect > it. > > I wanted that feature badly one year ago, but now I hardly care about > it as > clown comments do not have much > effect on established apps. > > Will be occasionally useful for support requests and to correct > blatant > bogus user assertions. > > > > > bob <[email protected]> Mar 18 09:00AM -0700 > > Can you post a screenshot of where we should look for this option?
