*Job description:*
● InfoSphere DataStage is an IBM Information management tool and
is one of market leaders in Information management. At UCSF, critical
projects are using DataStage to ETL data from various different sources.
While development happens during the day, critical batches runs during the
night. And hence, we need to provide 24 X 7 support. We have DEV, UAT and
PRD environments.
*Skills needed:*
The candidate should have good knowledge and possess following skills
- Windows 2012 & Windows 2016 R2 datacenter OS
- Windows services
- PowerShell commands
- DOS commands
- ETL (basic – preferably with DataStage)
- SFTP process
- ACL grants
- WIKI documentation
*Main duties to perform:*- DataStage project administration
- Application folder creation and granting access
- Production promotion – simple and medium complex projects only
- Documentation (WIKI)
- Monitor for resource consumption
- Services stop and restart
- Weekly (Friday) project level backup and housekeeping
- Weekly (Friday) DataStage maintenance – co-ordinate with Wintel team
The candidate will be trained, once on board. However, the
candidate should preserve the knowledge within the team.
