Wouldn't changing the following line in playerdriver.cpp fix the
"funny" 1% that you are referring to?

oscl_memcpy(&bufPercent, localBuf, sizeof(uint32));
to
oscl_memcpy(&bufPercent, &localBuf[4], sizeof(uint32));
