Dear list,

at work I am forced to use Win XP on my notebook. I successfully installed
Neo1973.inf [1] and got ssh access on OM2008.12 / SHR working, however
using Android and adb.exe the device can not be used. The device manager
shows error 10 (device could not be started) for "Linux USB Ethernet/RNDIS
Gadget". Anyone knows how to get it hooked up on XP?

Btw, I am using Michaels latest rootfs and kernel (v13).

Cheers,
Heiko

Hi,
as far as i know, the problem is in kernels > 2.6.24.
There was a regression introduced in rndis driver which
caused windows to immediately reboot. This was fixed
so that windows dont crash, but the networking still does
not work.

I have filled bug:

https://docs.openmoko.org/trac/ticket/2211

but it could be worth reporing this upsteram. For more info
check this thread:

http://kerneltrap.org/mailarchive/linux-usb/2008/11/16/4126624

Please give me know it you find out some more info

Radek
