I couldn't get it to boot from NOR either.  I removed the SD card and
booted normally then everything was ok.

Like the Koolu boot image :)  Interesting proof of concept, but with
no GMS, wifi, etc and awful screen graphics (top bar icons and huge
menu text which doesn't change when text size is changed) it is not
much more.  Do you want detailed feedback?

I wish we could all agree on a combined development effort and go
forward from there.  Next try is Beta 4.
