Got the koolu (non-cupcake) to boot, by putting the files on my first sdcard 
partition (vfat).

USB does not work: when setting up the usb interface, I get
usb0: unknown interface: No such device
SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
usb0: unknown interface: No such device
SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device
SIOCADDRT: No such device

Tried rebooting both my computer and the freerunner. No luck...
