Well, once you have the correct linux kernel running, the rest should be reasonably possible if the hardware is beefy enough.

The challenges: -Get the right version of the linux kernel running (2.6.27 with the appropriate Android drivers). -Configure the relevant aspects of user-space to either use portable code, or rewrite them for MIPS. -Adapt the UI to a device with d-pad, no touchscreen, no keyboard, and a pixel count that's not very common.
