To properly install a Kernel module (driver) on your phone, you'd have to get the exact same configuration setting that was used and compile your Kernel and module against that..this would give you the BEST chance of having the driver actually load. Since it's fairly hard to get the exact same configuration, you'll most likely have to get your own Kernel and modules installed on the phone..
