I have been looking into this as well and have read reviews on apps and tons of articles that seem to be re-writes of earlier articles. There are quite a few that list features of the apps and some that have side by side comparisons of multiple apps, but what I cannot find is a good comparison of the top 5/10 where they are tested to actually validate the claims. I did find an April 2010 Blackberry article that compared 2 apps that are both available for Android:
