Hi Pieter,

thanks for this good idea to do a sprint among all those who think about
model transformations. Unfortunately, my customers keep me sooooo busy
until the end of the year that I will not have time to come to such a
meeting. I would very much like to but I can't...

So, let's do the following:
* Could you write a 20 line email describing the steps you want to take
for model transformations?
* We'll all read the email, follow the pointers you mention and try to
understand and post questions.
* We'll try to schedule a sprint meeting for the end of January.

The steps I would take for model transformations are as follows:
* Read the QVT proposal for OMG.
* Find a parser for their transformation language.
* Or: If there is no parser, run Antlr to generate one.
* Run the parser, generate an intermediate byte code that can be
interpreted.
* Let the bytecode apply transformations to one model, producing
another, both based on the UML metamodel. Example: Let a PIM be
transformed into an EJB PSM.
* Let the template engine work on the EJB PSM to generate text.

What are the steps you are going to take?

Cheers...
Matthias
