maybe, a meeting in Antwerp would be more fun than in Germany! Attila,
how do you think about a flight to Antwerp? Is that possible?

A pity that Attila can't come over here. Do we proceed in Antwerp or fly to somewhere nearer to Attila?

There is no such "their transformation language" yet. That's
why we are looking at the different submissions and SDM
(which is no submission to the RFP but shares a lot with the
submissions and already has a running implementation in Fujaba).

Pieter, until now, I thought that a proposed standard is better than no standard. However, if there is already a working implementation of a transformation language, this is certainly better than no implementation! :-) Is it possible to extract this implementation from Fujaba and port it to AndroMDA?

I think Hans has replied very well on the role of his master thesis.

Eagerly waiting for your 20 line email...

I've made the effort to make a webpage on the whole Fujaba refactoring prototype because more and more people want to stay informed about it.

If you're looking for a quick 20 line text from which you can dive deeper, I think the tutorials are a good place to start: http://win-www.ruca.ua.ac.be/u/pvgorp/professional/phd/fujaba-refactoring.php#users_tutorial. As you said, it's probably best that everybody asks specific questions based on these pointers. I'll update the page with the info people ask for.

Kind regards,
Pieter.

Hi Matthias, thanks for making the commitment for January.

Hi Wouter,
how much does Javapolis cost for students?

Matthias,
I'll come back to you for the 20-line mail. However, I would
already like to reply on:
The steps I would take for model transformations are as follows:
* Read the QVT proposal for OMG.
* Find a parser for their transformation language.
There is no such "their transformation language" yet. That's
why we are looking at the different submissions and SDM
(which is no submission to the RFP but shares a lot with the
submissions and already has a running implementation in Fujaba).

CU,
Pieter.

Hi Pieter,

thanks for this good idea to do a sprint among all those who think
about
model transformations. Unfortunately, my customers keep me sooooo
busy
until the end of the year that I will not have time to come to such a
meeting. I would very much like to but I can't...
