Stephan,

I did the original integration of MDR into AndroMDA, but I do not remember
all the various conversion capabilities (XMI 1.0 ... 1.2, and the various
UML 1.3, 1.4, 2.0 capability issues).

About 1 or 1.5 years ago I was also interested in using ArgoUML, but I
decided to drop it because of the NSUML vs MDR issue. I also played with
ArgoUML a bit and I decided it wasn't worth my labour. MagicDraw was only
about $100 at the time. I figured the $100 to $150 was well worth my time
and labour. MagicDraw and Poseidon both had richer feature sets than
ArgoUML and were more robust.

The thing I would be more interested in pursuing, if I were you, would be
the Eclipse UML plug-in. I think there are some interesting possibilities
in that area because of the IDE integration possibilities.
