Stephan, I did the original integration of MDR into AndroMDA, but I do not remember all the various conversion capabilities (XMI 1.0 ... 1.2, and the various UML 1.3, 1.4, 2.0 capability issues).
About 1 or 1.5 years ago I was also interested in using ArgoUML, but I decided to drop it because of the NSUML vs MDR issue. I also played with ArgoUML a bit and I decided it wasn't worth my labour. MagicDraw was only about $100 at the time. I figured the $100 to $150 was well worth my time and labour. MagicDraw and Poseidon both had richer feature sets than ArgoUML and were more robust. The thing I would be more interested in pursuing, if I were you, would be the Eclipse UML plug-in. I think there are some interesting possibilities in that area because of the IDE integration possibilities. - Tony > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Sunday, April 04, 2004 5:51 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: RE: [Andromda-devel] (no subject) > > > Hi tony, > > Are you telling me that even if I can make AndroMDA load my Models I > will have to recode parts of cartdiges? > > Even if I keep a MDR Access to the model??(without NSUML) > > If it is, it means that ArgoUML won't work with AndroMDA until it > gets UML 1.4 support (it's not for tomorrow). > > THANKS > > ------------------------------------------------------------- > NetCourrier, votre bureau virtuel sur Internet : Mail, Agenda, > Clubs, Toolbar... > Web/Wap : www.netcourrier.com > Tlphone/Fax : 08 92 69 00 21 (0,34 TTC/min) > Minitel: 3615 NETCOURRIER (0,16 TTC/min) > ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
