Again, if am wrong, someone please correct me. --- In 2.x that is correct, in 3.0 that's incorrect. 3.0 has facade interfaces, we call them "metafacades" (and seperate implementations depending on the metamodel, such as UML 1.4) that insulate us from the metamodel interfaces, so therefore we should be able to to easily add UML 1.3 support if we're able to load XMI into MDR.
