Title: Nachricht
Hi Gabriel,

here are the answers to your questions:

Docs: You will find some additional stuff on our Wikiweb at http://team.andromda.org/tiki . What were you looking for? Did you already try to create an empty project using the "empty project wizard" as described on the "getting started" webpage? I get requests for more docs from people who did not even try that one. :-)

Heavy dist: The dist not only contains the generator itself but many jars required to run the code that is generated. For example, it contains the Hibernate jars and the Struts jars. It also contains a full fledged sample EAR file to run inside JBoss. Third, the dist contains XDoclet that we use as a second generator step. So, AndroMDA is not "just an ant task".

Cheers...
Matthias

Subject: AndroMDA

Hi!!!

My name is GabrielJenik and I have downloaded AndroMDA!!!

I think it is really great...
I have thought many times about building a product like this. I have developed a copdegenerator with a special script language of my own. It was DB driven. After finding codegeneration.net i found out I have reinvented the wheel...

I have some questions about the project...

Do you have any extra documentation besides the one in the site??
Why is the distribuition so heavy when andromda is just an ant task??

I am gonna build some PHP templates, so I will let you know when they are ready.

Thanks

gabriel
