No emergency, I was just trying to recall that thread from a while back.
It would sure be nice if it was all XHTML, but I know there are issues
with JavaScript and IE. No rush.

so what if I would remove the regular HTML support in favor of pure XHTML, anyone against that ?

I just remember we had issues when you did this before...why don't we just keep the xhtml option? It's not breaking anything.

I will have to test this first of course

anyway, I will not apply this change before the 3.0 final, just to be on the safe side

I remember there being a thread on this a week or so ago. Did this get
resolved or should I submit a jira issue?

hi Tim,

I did not do anything about this yet, mostly because I'm flooded with work and because nothing is actually broken (like in, not working at all)

I will be fixing this though, please file an issue in JIRA.

The <br/> elements you're getting are outputted from the facades, mainly the online help, perhaps a few are hardcoded in the templates also

I found a message on the struts mailing list related to this problem (posted by myself): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg02124.html

basically the problem I was having with XHTML was that JavaScript needs to be enclosed using a CDATA section (because of the fact there can be a < comparator in the Javascript), but once inside the <script> the browser will parse the CDATA as though it was Javascript! and it will fail on this

this is the main reason I stopped focusing on this, anyway, I need to address this issue again so yeah, please file that issue, is it urgent for you or is AndroMDA 3.0.1 fine too ?
